Leah Bruce, Scheme Manager – Leah has been working with Home-Start Deeside, Alford and Strathdon for many years and is a wonderful source of knowledge, experience and wisdom! Having joined the team in 2009 as a volunteer, Leah knows Home-Start DAS inside and out. Leah has a wealth of knowledge in Child Protection, ACEs and counselling skills.
Lizzie Sutherland, Co-ordinator – Lizzie started with the team in 2016 briefly, and rejoined the team again in 2022. As a Criminology graduate, she brings an invaluable perspective to her role and is bursting with enthusiasm and new ideas. She may be clued up on theory, but her favourite part of the job is crafting, singing and laughing with families at our support groups!
Kairen Griffiths, Office Administrator. Kairen started working with Home-Start in July 2024. She has a background in nursing and was a Cystic Fibrosis Nurse Specialist for NHS Grampian for 26 years. Nowadays, she will be found by the photocopier machine or the filing cabinet and is thoroughly enjoying her new role!
